who are we?
swim press is an independent publisher and magazine
established in 2021 by a group of four Lancaster University
friends.
we want to give undiscovered and emerging writers and
photographers a chance to showcase their work and get their
name out there.
who can submit?
anyone with a story to tell and a voice to be heard! we want to get everyone involved and share the love, though we especially focus on women+ voices.
there is no experience required to submit – we are happy to
consider anyone’s work as long as it stays within our
guidelines and you have a true passion for your work.
how did swim press start?
charlie and bec (who has since departed onto bigger things) started swim press on a bit of a whim! the two wanted to create a water-themed anthology, based on both their love of writing about water and what that can represent for them, and so they did. thus a team was put together and swim press was born. we haven’t looked back since…

charlie fabre / co-founder & editor in chief
charlie is a creative writing graduate from france. she has her MA in creative writing and currently works in marketing as she finishes her first manuscript. she is interested in themes of grief, motherhood, and female rage and sexuality; and in her real life she loves RuPaul’s Drag Race, astrology and tarot, oat matcha lattes, yoga, and the 1975.

trina read / digital content creator & editor
trina is an english literature and songwriting graduate from essex with hopes to start a music career. alongside her studies, she has also been involved in theatre and rowing. she is passionate about greek mythology and feminist literature, and she spends her time writing new songs for her debut album, as well as running full and half-marathons!

victoria bromley / social media manager & editor
victoria is an english language and creative writing graduate from cheshire. she’s an aspiring author who loves reading and writing contemporary fiction. her three personality traits are being a pisces, the colour purple, and having a fringe. she is currently writing her first manuscript.
